Al, this is not meant as a lecture and no offense should be taken. The car
mentioned is worthy of praise and recognition and still turns eyes.
Simultaneous development of ideas that use of the same words would not
constitute a theft. In our litigious society one would have to see a lawsuit
claiming the theft of a trademarked name and concept to call it theft.
As far as the Golden Hawk and the pos engine they had I would hardly think of
this as a good example. My father had three of them, bought the first and the
other two were factory replacements for the first car. The last two also
failed. The common definition of muscle car still remains the most useful and
accepted one. No single definition can encompass all, the fact that you like
the
Golden Hawk does not change the currently used and accepted definition.
I guess Roger Marris never had the homerun record either.
