You will find a variety of answers to your question, but this is what I
think is correct. Any 351W casting from 1969 to 1976 (C9OE to D4OE casting
number prefix) will have 1.84-inch intake and 1.54-inch exhaust valves,
which are larger than the 1.78/1.45-inch valve set used on 289/302s. From
1977 the 351W valve sizes were reduced to the 302 sizes. '69 & '70 heads
(C90E-B, C90E-D, D0OE-C, or D0OE-G) have 60.4 cc chamber volume. Thereafter
(until the early '80's), the chamber volume increased to 69 cc. This differs
from, for example, what Tom Monroe writes in his how to rebuild your Small
Block Ford book (he says, for example, that the chamber volume increased in
'77) - but this isn't the only instance where he's provably wrong. You
should be able to measure the chamber volume yourself accurately enough to
see if it's 60.4 or 69 cc, but yours should be 60.4.
