fuel pump fittings

Hey Guys,

Speaking of fuel pumps, I just got a new SU pump , AZX1307, for the 67 Mk II.
What are the threads on this pump?  The old fittings don't screw in easily.
And when I look at the threads in the old pump it looks like the fittings,
which look to be a pipe thread, are jaming the threads.  I could get the
fittings in far enough if I force them.

What to do?
