Well, I finally purchased a set of Ford Contour wheels in the spoke design I
wanted. But...always a but, isn't there, I am going to need wheel adapters.
Plenty on ebay and custom made to boot. Made to be hub centric so that they
don't wiggle around on the hub. So I starts looking for a spare front hub,
ah, found one, then a rear hub, found it also. My parts filing system leaves
a lot to be desired. After looking at our brake rotors and drums I see no
way or making these hub centric! Only lug centric Does this jive with the
collective knowledge of the Tiger universe? I was going to ship the hubs to
the fabricator but I don't think I need to! Do the rotors have any kind of
centering lip? Drums? Nah, I didn't see one but then it never fails that
when you want to look, you have already put the wheel back on the car.
Anybody have any comments?
Oh and another oddity: I have 215/60 x 13 BF Goodrich tires on the old LATs
and the 215 section width is less that the section width of the tires
mounted on the Contour rims which are 205/60 x 15. Huh?
