Tigers,
I have always thought that the aluminum Edelbrock heads, and their HiPo
aluminum water pump would make a marvelous addition to the Tiger. With
some extra money (lots) they provide these polished or glossed.
Unfortunately, I have felt that the smaller bore stock 260 would not
clear the valves, and/or the pistons would require a fly cut.
Well, someone who consults only himself has a fool for an advisor. 9-)
So I did the unusual, I asked Edelbrock which, if any, model of their
pump and head is suitable for the 260. I thought I would share their
response with you that have a few extra bucks in their pocket, and want
outstanding bolt-on power and cooling equipment.
Note, this water pump is highly regarded, and both back plate and early
models are specified. Some hub position adjustment may be required. The
heads come with larger valves, too, but require piston clearance work
even on 302's with higher lift pistons. Roller cam / lifters / rockers
are nice, if you have the loot.

Use heads PN # 60229 with 1.90 intake valves, yes it will clear the pistons &
bore.
For the water pump use PN # 8841 with a back plate or PN # 8842 with
OUT back plate.
