Exhaust mounting

I am installing my Tiger Technologies exhaust.  Does
the middle tube section bolt directly to the hangers
or should there be an insulating strap between the
tabs on the car and the tabs on the pipe? (The exhuast
system I am replacing was not original and there is a
broken rubber "hanging strap" still on the car)
