Hi Chuck:
I'm sorry I missed you when you visited San Diego. This sounds like a
hair-raising trip--and a really wonderful one.
I have no idea what costs are for something like your cam and lifter
fix, but you sounded pretty calm about it--I'd have been in hysterics, I
suspect. You met some really neat people along the way, and your
stories about your trips speak to the romantic side of motoring--on the
one hand, I have GOT to get the car to the point where I can start doing
things like this--on the other hand, I have to get ME to the point where
I can accept that things will go wrong on trips like that and accept the
possibility of a large $ outlay on the trip--and the possibility that I
could wind up with no car left at the end. I'm REALLY glad your
introduction to the ditch didn't do any lasting damage and I hope that
the drivability issue gets ironed out easily and quickly.
Thank you again. You make me want to see more of our country. From the
driver's seat of our Tiger, that is (grin)
Best Regards
David Sosna
