John
        I don't see any listing in the Tiger parts Manual for the 3.10 axle
ratio, so no help there. I see no reference to this ratio anywhere. LAT
options are 3.07, 3.31, 3.54, 3.73, 3.92, 4.09, 4.27, 4.55, and 4.78.

        Looking in the Rootes Parts List for Sunbeam Alpine Publication #
6600992;
STd Trans w/o OD        3.889 : 1
Std Trans with OD       4.222 : 1

The Competition parts section lists; 3.889:1, 4.22:1, 4.44:1, 4.86:1.

Section H of this Publication is "Automatic Gearbox". I believe that is a
Borg Warner Automatic.

Hope this helps.

I have the following questions.

Tiger
What is the genesis of the 3.10 axle ratio? Was it a factory option or a
certified dealer option? Was it a LAT option?

Alpine
Was a 4.22 axle ratio available from the factory or a certified dealer
option? Was an automatic transmission a factory option for Alpines?
