I'm pretty sure that somewhere on Norm's website, were some pictures of
Doane Spencer's personal (light blue?) Tiger, which incorporated
fenderwell vents below the Tiger script. Since Doane was the architect
of the #55 car's vents, the side view of his street car might offer some
insight on the vent profile that he used. If I recall correctly Doane's
car did not incorporate Cobra-style vanes in the fender opening.

Theo

Subject: LAT(?) vent pictures on line - TigersUnited.com
Tigers,
There has been a lot of discussion, on the list and privately, about
whether there was ever a Cobra style side air vent offered for the
Tiger, by whom, and what it looked like.
Unfortunately, the list will not allow attachments, so pictures can not
be shared.
Not to worry. TigersUnited.com has created an isolated discussion
section on what I have found, both in print and pictures, to share. It
also represents an opportunity for anyone with more accurate information
to send it in and have it posted for all to see.
If you are NOT interested, it is not accessible from the web site.
