Listers:
I just installed the right-angle adapter (6880) on my tiger this spring,
with the
help and advice of Jim Boynton. The groove is square cut but the O-ring
is/was
round and it works. No leaks. Maybe it is rocket science, but it still
doesn't
leak but, then again, I don't believe I have been operating outside of the
expected
temperature parameters.
I can identify with Tom Witt's encounter with the parts guy for I think I
have dealt
with him or his brother, Darrell, quite often. You actually shouldn't be
too hard on
him because he probably works another job, more than likely in the health care
system somewhere. For the past three months, ever since my Mom died, I have
had to deal with more hospital and doctor bills than I hope I will ever
have to again.
Almost every claim requires at LEAST one phone call to correct some mistake,
misunderstanding or system failure on the part of some entity in the system.
Finding and obtaining the right parts to keep a Tiger running is child's
play in
comparison for the simple reason that, so far, the gummint hasn't become too
interested in our pasttime. It also helps that there are many folks who are
extremely knowlegeable and willing to share with those of us who need help
on a regular basis. Thanks to all of you.
