Probably nothing if you followed the directions. More than likely the large plunger in the vacuum can is hanging up. You must make sure the plunger moves freely otherwise it will go down (applying the brakes) and not go back. You should polish the inside of the can and then lube the insides and the leather seal with the famous Girling red rubber grease. Normal grease may cause the leather to deteriorate.
