Does anybody live near this car that can go have a look? With a car this
heavily modified, who knows what we have.
If the car is truly a Alger, some unsuspecting buyer could be saved an
expensive mistake.

I say.. COULD BE. But maybe someone did a dirty deed with the
VIN rivets.
While the front end "tophat" reinforcements are definitely TIGER and
not Alpine, a square corner body with GT interior and soft boot top
cover does not correspond with an early MK1 serial number.
