I'm not sure that going from 5/16" to 3/8" tubing will gain that
much fuel flow capacity.
The tube coming out of my cross tube is 1/2". You should be able
to find a common fitting that will mate a 3/8" tube to that 1/2" tube.

Subject: Fuel lines and Fuel pump

Well,
I finally determined that the stock replacement fuel pump is a little
inadequate for the new power plant. I was just being lazy but now I want to
upgrade the fuel line to 3 eights from the tank forward. I noticed a fitting
that seems to be on the center tank tube that runs along the rear of the
car. Has anyone enlarged this easily or do I need to remove the piece and
have a larger fitting Tig welded on. If that is the only option I will
probably go with an AN type connection and aluminum tubing to the pump. I
have decided on an Aeromotive Street rod pump that delivers 140 gallons per
hour and will maintain 7 PSI with a capability of 14 PSI for Nitrous later.
Has anyone got a better alternative? I would like a pump that can lay flat
and I do not want to run a return line to the Fuel tank. So far Aeromotive
seems the best choice.
