Folks,
I am currently having the radiator rebuilt and about ready to tackle a most
recalcitrant steering box. The steering is extremely stiff and gets worse as
the car warms up. I have checked the ball joints and spindles for binding. I
have a suspicion that it is not an OEM box, as it is black, has smaller
bellows than I remember and has a Zerk fitting on the spring tower opposite
the steering shaft. I have searched the limited data banks at my disposal but
not found a clear picture of what a real Tiger steering box looks like. Would
anyone have a scanned picture that they can send? I will report the findings
when the mystery has been solved.
