I don't know what Rick's plastic clips are. When my car was painted, I removed all of the original pop rivet type things from the sides and reinstalled my trim using nylon 4-40 pan head screws. I got them form an electronics supply place, but Home Deopt has them now. The heads fit perfectly inside the trim. Where I could reach the back, I put nylon nuts on. Where I couldn't, I glued the screws into the holes using RTV. That was 1977, and the are still there, no problems. Stu |
