Just had the pleasure of catching a lunch break for the Coloraodo Grand.
Their rule is nothing after 1961.
So many spectacular cars that the Ferraris and Gullwings drew little
attention - too many Bugattis, Blower Bentleys and so forth. The brace of
8C Alfas took the cake, I believe.

Subject: Just dreamin'...
Hey, guys:
I saw "Car Crazy" last night on the Speed Channel and they did a segment on
the Copper State 1000 Rally. I've always wanted to do something like that
but
have never been flush enough to get the Tiger out to Arizona. I know this
is
just dreaming on my part, but indulge me for a moment, okay?
I noticed that there were some rather rare and exotic cars entered in the
rally but I saw no Tigers. Has anybody on this list ever participated in
that
rally in their Tiger? Furthermore, do those of you in the hotter regions of
the country think that a stock Tiger could handle the steep grades and high
temps that they encounter while on the trip? One of these days, I would
love
to do something like that with my Tiger but don't know if it's really a
"Tiger-feasible" event or not due to the presumed climatic conditions. Does
anybody have any opinions about, or experience with, this rally?
Thanks,
Andy Walker
