Sorry this is off topic, but I thought that anyone smart enough to own an Alpine or Tiger has probably had contact with Porsches in the past (:->). Can anyone advise the exact model of Solex carburetter that was used on the very earliest 911s? I believe the 40PI 1 was used on later 911s, but am not sure if this was the carb used on the earliest cars. Thanks John Slade |
