It appears that the shop must have bent your steering arms. Is this correct?
The only reason to do this is to neutralize bump steer. However, it seems
that if the two sides aren't equal, then something else is seriously amiss.
Also, using a pipe wrench, vise grips, etc. and leaving gouges in your tie
rods would make me very suspicious about the quality of the alignment job.
Go back and ask for an explanation - and it better be a damned good on. Let
us know what they say. We'll organize a posse if need be.
