Let's remember that 99.999% of the people in this country don't even know
what a Sunbeam is, never mind need a part for one. Or would recognize one.
My guess is that after it fell out of the box in transit, nobody knew what
it was. After it left Mailboxes, it was in their trucks, their distribution
centers, their airplanes, etc., so it is probably still in their possession
somewhere. If you, and they, rattle enough cages, you may well find the guy
who remembers finding that greasy rusty metal thing in the bottom of the
bin, and stuck it over in the corner.... Or maybe the airplane is still
grounded with 8 mechanics trying to find what that fell out of.....;-)
