Don't know which Tiger you have. The early ones (Mk I) had radially
oriented numbers, and the later ones were vertical. The Alpines were the
same, but went to 6,000 rpm. They can be modified for 8 cylinders, and
the "4" Cylinders modified to be an "8" on the face.
The LAT option used an MG Tach that went even higher, but the chrome
bezel was different than a Tiger. It also had an indicator lamp that
isn't used. It also was modified for "8" cylinders, as well as "Negative
Ground" labels.
