Here are the 65/67 289 HiPo dual point distributor specs according
to Ford.

Centrifugal advance curve

Distributor RPM Distributor Degrees
        250 0
        500 3/4
        1000 7
        1500 8
        2000 9
        2500 10
You need to multiply by 2 for crankshaft RPM and Degrees.

Initial timing = 10 - 12 degrees
Breaker point gap = .018 - .022
25 degrees dwell each point
32 - 34 degrees Total dwell

To all,
While we are on the subject of timing, perhaps you all could give me
your recommendation for the initial timing spec for my tiger. It is a
K-code 289, with the ford dual point distributor, It has the hydraulic
lifter equivilent of the Mustang HiPo cam, and a Holley 600, headers,
etc......
What do you think?
