I know that the 25-1/2" Toploader used in the Tiger is rather rare and the
27" wouldn't be relevent to my question. BUT, is it conceviable to use the
24" unit and machine a 1-1/2" spacer (with appropriate bolt holes) between
the driveshaft flange and the rearend flange? Does anyone know if the 24"
shifter mount would line up with the hole in the Tiger trans tunnel? Seems
that this would open up the number of available Toploaders as I consider the
most viable way (read that right trans - at the right price, if found) to
get the wide ratio gears rather than pulling mine apart (I found new gears
to be beyond my meager budget). Thanks for any info. I'm in no rush, just
