I used a brute force type solution in that I placed a plumbing tee in-line
with the heater hose and attached an Autozone Sunpro mechanical temp gague to
it. The gauge resides under my dash. I just don't trust the Smith's gague.
I might eventually remove it with no ill effects to the car. But maybe I
need to get one of these thermostat housinging clean up my install.
