Wally's driver was at the wheel of the Tiger while Wally
was towing his Alpine in his Dodge Van on the way to
the United in Portland, ME. They were about 65 mi from
his house not going very fast when the looked in his
mirror to see his Tiger in the air. The police said the other
driver either fell asleep or was taking on his cell phone and
must have been going at least 90 mph when he hit the rear
of Wally's car. The hit was so hard, it broke the engine
mounts up front.
I'm afraid to ask what the puddle was on the driver's floor.
If it were me, it was have been yellow in color.
His driver has already had over 40 visits to the MD and still
not right. I imagine such a hit would have killed our beloved Wally.
Wally's newest pride and joy is last shortwheel base Dodge van
made by Chrysler. It was sold to the Secret Service and is
completely blacked out except for a special gold stripe that
only the Secret Service uses. He said while a normal van has a
1 page build sheet, this van has a three page sheet. Most options
are just a number with the description 'US Government'. Wally says
it has about twice the tow capacity of a normal van.
Just the thing he'll need to tow his Alpine.
Wally says that he is still talking with the other
driver's insurance about settling. They want to
total the car while Wally wants its fixed regardless
of cost. Since it wasn't his fault and there is still
the medical matter, this won't be cheap for the
insurance company.
