I can't look at the cap for now, but I remember it was
a Stant 13 lb cap that said 'coolant recovery' on the
tap on the top.  You're right if its not that type of cap
you are wasting your time.  A stack is vented and
loses its vacuum.  It'll allow the water to expand out
but won't suck it back in.

I don't think it makes a big difference.  I just got tired
of my Tiger pissing on the ground whenever I filled the
header tank completely (over the full plate inside the
tank).
