Gene's Tiger was purchased in Texas.  Is that where
you got your??

My MK IA, B382002668, came with a MK II upper
grill surround that had been neatly kerffed for the
cross bars. 

The more you look the more you come to believe
that Sunbeam was a job lot operation and that
engineering specs were not always followed.  They
used what was on hand.
