Here is the URL for the latest revisions to SB1811. This bill will now
do nothing except to make it easier to register specialty built
vehicles. Note that any specialty built vehicles that doesn't resemble
any known automobile will receive title as a 1960 car. It has received
complete unanimous support during any votes that have been taken. It
looks like it will become law. The elimination of the 30 rolling
exemption was the recent amendment in the assembly. This mean that
SB1811 does not change the existing 30 year rolling exemption that goes
into effect in 2004. This bill is unequivocally good for car
enthusiasts. Remember that it is often "How goes California, so goes the
rest of the country." when it comes to EPA stuff.
