Thanks for your information about changing heads in your date's
driveway. Couldn’t have had much in the way of double-jointed socket
wrenches or such handy.
Just to clear things up, I was not saying it could not be done. If I
have done it, or heard how, I state that, or just label ‘opinion’.
In this case I specifically stated the information was a quote from the
Rootes LAT Hi-Po camshaft installation instructions, which warned about
the push rods, implying that it could not be done.
Is there anyone out there who has done this in-car head removal and is
willing to share the information on how to handle a set of rear push
rods that Rootes says can’t be removed?
I am sure the information would be appreciated by all.
