Chris,
If you have a vacuum operated power brake unit
check out the system for leaks. A faulty inline vacuum
valve or a vacuum leak on the unit could cause a lean condition
at the intake manifold when you hit the brake. Try adding
a vacuum gauge and checking things out. Also check your
fuel pump pressure. If it is below 3 psi when you are running
then the float level adjustment did no good as there is not enough
fuel to keep the level up above the main jets. Tubes added to
the main jets might work, but could also mask the fuel or
vacuum leak problems. Recommend 5 or 6 psi fuel pressure.
Another possibility is that the coil wire or something
similar in the low voltage side is shorting out ( or opening
up) due to the negitive Gs.
