Years ago, CAT had a great tech tech on fusing the Tiger/Alpine.
I think it was titled 'The Princes wires, they do burn'.
It suggested adding simple inline fuses at very places to
fuse everything in the car. All you had to do was buy some
inline fuses, solder on some British male/female ends, and then
simple slip in the fuse at the proper existing junction.
Simple, effective, and doesn't involve cutting any wires.
Try it, you'll like it.
Also common 30 amp fuses should be more than adequate.
If you are pulling more that that, you are risking 'white smoke'.
I once saw a Tiger owner who had become so frustrated with
the Lucas wiring, he was using a #10 machine screw as fuses!
