Larry,
There is a slot-race Tiger (Alpine) made by Scalectrix (England) in the 60's. I
now, because Jay got TWO sets of these expensive toys when he was a kid. And
yes,
he still has them. Had a 190 SL, a TR-4, The Tiger, and one other provided in
each set.
This was real quality, with grandstands, oil slicks, squeeze together tracks,
fly-over track bridges, Dunlop pedestrian bridges, flag people, racing pits.
Cost
a fortune, and they are still making stuff today (at Harrods) so I bought him a
few pieces when we were in England.
These were not HO scale, but larger. About the AMT model size, and were really
fast.
No, he won't sell them, or his original Lionel set, but I've got the AMT
original
Tiger he tried to build when it first came out!
