Hello All,
I thought it was about time to provide some information on Ginger since it
has been 4 months now since our SUNI wreck. She is still in the nursing home
here in Atlanta and recovering slowly. She has only had the one plastic
surgery so far, but she is looking more "normal" each day. She is getting
daily physical therapy which includes assisted walking, sitting up, brushing
teeth, etc. She is still being fed thru a tube in her stomach, but they have
just started trying to get her to swallow normally. She is more alert each
time I see her and talking a little more also. I am also just beginning to
see some of her "personality" come thru with some laughter and trying to make
facial jestures (which she often did).
Her memory seems to come & go. Many times she forgets my name, but knows who
I am. She can recite basics(alphabet, her birthday, etc), so long term may be
in good shape. Still too early to tell a lot, but I am still hopeful she will
make a full or almost full recovery. Your prayers have not gone unanswered in
other words! Thank you. I will pass on your thoughts and continued prayers as
she struggles to regain her life.
On an automotive note, I am having the tire that blew, sent to a specialist
to see if there was some manufacturing defect. More on that as it comes
available. I have not purchased another Tiger (yet), but I have several
feelers out amd my eye on a few. Take care everyone... Happy Tigering!
