Well, Norm, how about putting it on your web page? After all, the new model is
to give it away for free, in exchange for "eyeballs". Just think of the
traffic that would go to your web site to review....

I'll provide the scans...

Chris, Don't know. That's entirely up to Norman; its his book. I would point
out however, that I doubt very much if Norm made anything approaching a
reasonable profit on his masterpiece. It has only recently become a
collectors item and I believe a recent copy (in two parts due to a binding
error) but signed by Norm went for over $300!!!I certainly would not blame
him if he wanted some consideration in exchange for expanded distribution.
By the way, I know Norm is out there.

                                          Regards, Bill

As Norman doesn't plan another printing, and so thus could gain no further
revenue, do you think he (are you lurking, Norman?) might allow us to scan
it into a .pdf for download to anyone, put on the web, or whatever?

HI folks,

I managed to obtain a copy of the book of Norman a little while ago.
Another book, referred to as the Bible for Tiger owners, is Mike Taylor's
TIGER:THE MAKING OF A SPORTS CAR. I have had no luck at all in finding it.
If anyone on the list knows where I can obtain a copy, I would greatly
appreciate it.

Getting back to The Book of Norman, I seem to recollect someone on the
list saying that the original printer had gone broke and the masters had
been lost; pretty much eliminating a second printing. Whether this is true
or not, I can't say for sure. The good news is that a substantial portion
of the book is dedicated to the Tiger Registry which as time goes on becomes
more and more out of date as presented in the book. For example, I am the
second owner of my car since Norm's book was published. Additionally, I
believe you can obtain more up-to-date info from Norm's website along with a
listing of cars that have been certified as authentic.
There is also a listing of dealerships which, obviously, no longer exist
selling Rootes cars. If this info is excluded, making professional (or as
least decent) copies may not be out of the question. Of course, a real pro
may want some comfort that copyright laws aren"t being violated.

                                          Regards, Bill

At a visit to Los Gatos in August I bought a new copy from Norman, but with
some 25 pages double bound (Norman told me). A week ago I got the correct
pages by mail as a supplement (thanks Norman).
