Information needed non Tiger

Would anyone on the list happen to know a source that would provide 
information on interchangeability of wheels.  I'm not talking Tigers here, 
just your standard old American or foreign car wheel swap.  

I've been told that most large salvage yards have manuals on the subject, but 
it would be nice to find something on the web or a reasonably priced manual.
