steering column

            I just did the column in my mk 1A. the shop notes  in the
supplement by John Crawley  are excellent.  My bearing cups were stuck
solid, but they came out fine with this procedure.  The only thing nobody or
the manual would say was how to take the horn cap off.  Pry under the chrome
edge and lift off.
