I'm very sorry to hear of your physical misfortune.
Why do you want to go with a C6? I know they are beefier, stock, but they
also take much more power to run. Maybe a built C4 would do the trick, they
are much smaller externally. Also, if they can make a C4 last behind a
stroker, supercharged, nitrous injected Windsor in a drag racing application,
I'm sure you could build one for your 351C. I'm not sure about bellhousings,
I think Clevelands came either with the FMX or C6 stock.
Another thought is an AOD. They are now being built for drag race
applications because of their very steep 1st gear...don't know if one would
fit.
I would hazard a guess that you are going to be looking at some trans tunnel
fabrication to make a C6 fit.
