Tim, the mystery car was at British Car Days in San Diego in October 1991. I
have three pictures of it including the interior and the engine ...which has
4 dual throat downdraft webers. The picture I have shows the firewall to be
notched and pushed back ...having the complete heater core area removed for
the carburetors. It is certainly a beautiful car and "a work of art".

PS: it couldn't have been a Tiger II unless they changed the headlight rings
to early Tiger (The car was probably some nice old alpine that needed a
home!!
