because of such a small radiator? Not to sound like a Chevy man, but my 67
Vette never ran hot at all. It's radiator looked vastly larger then the one
on the Tiger. I am supposing that this has to do with room, and Tigers
probably have an Alpine radiator on a V8 car. How do you keep your car cool?
My car has a built 289 that puts out the same hp that my Vette did. I love
this Tiger, but not over heating. I got rid of a perfectly good XKE series 3
because of overheating. I would hate to look like Theo's picture at
Yellowstone with the green cloud! Would an oil cooler help?

Take your radiator to the local radiator repair shop and have it
rodded out. Fabricate an addition to the schroud that gives 360 degree
coverage with the rear 1/2 to 1/4 of the fan sticking out the rear.
Add a cheap plastic overflow container and a matching radiator cap. This
should help a lot.
Others on the net will explain about blocking air around the radiator,
defective gauges and big buck
replacement radiators. Alternate is to have the core replaced with a modern
core, that helps even more
than rodding out the old British brass.( Lighter weight also).
I run a 351C in my Tiger in Florida with the heat index approching
infinity. No overheating
problem at all. An Oil cooler is a very good idea.
Replace all radiator hoses while you are at it.
Note that a 16 lb. radiator cap may cause the heater core to rupture. Use
13 lb or less to save the
heater core.
