Brett Simpson , who is nearing completion of JAL 0001, indexes plugs on all 
of his vehicles-he just marks the open position on the ceramic, then uses 
spark plug washers under the plug to adjust the depth the threads engage. 
Simple, elegant, and effective, as it doesn't affect reach in any great 
measure (less than a whole thread in reach difference).
