I HAVE ALWAYS HAD MY PLATE BELOW THE BUMPER . I JUST REVERSED THE LIGHTS AND MOUNTED THE PLATE ON ON THE SPLASH PAN BELOW THE BUMPER. IT LOOKS MUCH BETTER THAN ON THE TRUNK. I FILLED THE HOLES WITH SMALL CORK PLUGS AND PAINTED THEM TO AVOID FILLING THEM PERMANENTLY. IT WORKED FAIRLY WELL. THAT WAY YOU CAN ALWAYS CHANGE IT BACK IF YOU WANT. GOOD LUCK!!
