Well, you see, the Brits are big on TRADITION. You are
talking about the look of a roadster, and they are making a
DHC (Drop Head Coupe), which has always looked that way. It
was a heck of an improvement over the German concept of
making it higher than the rear view mirror. Look inside and
see if it has a headliner, that's a dead give-away for a
'gentleman's vehicle.
Besides, Ford farms out the design and production of the
convertibles to a Los Angeles firm. (or, at least, they used
to).
