Bob,
As a renowned expert in "shooting from the hip", I have a
few "lessons learned" to pass on, as I have misssed at least
one of these, and sometimes all, at one time or another:
1) Be sure your gun is loaded.
2) Be sure the size of the gun, and the ammunition are
sufficient for the 'target'.
3) Be sure the target is within range.
4) If his back is turned, be sure no one is looking.
5) Don't forget to aim at a vital portion of the target, and
any of his close kin.
6) Before you pull the trigger, be sure the gun has cleared
the holster, and your foot is not in line with the barrel.
7) If you miss --- run like hell.
