Regarding the capacity of "sewage" treatment facilities to handle
automotive wastes, such as anti-freeze, brake fluids, oils, etc. The
problem is that these materials are often dumped into the drains in the
streets, not into the sinks or toilets. Here, in L.A., the street drains
are meant to remove surface waters (like if it ever rains, man), and are
NOT connected to the sewage waste treatment plants. They drain directly
into the ocean.

So the next time you want to test out your municipal sewage plant's
microbe tolerance, carry your gallons of used oil, old brake fluid,
gear-box drippings, and all the stuff you got out with "Gunk" across
your wife's new oak floors, across her new rugs, avoiding the antique
embroidered chairs, over her sparkling bathroom tile, and dump it into
the $600 power-flush porcelin commode or tub. This should really be a
test of a number of tolerance levels.
