I first was introduced, as were many others, to Sunbeams by watching Wally
Swift show up at
autocrosses towing his Alpine behind his Tiger. I told myself back then (1976)
if I ever got a
Bitish car, it'd be a Sunbeam.
Now, tow your Tiger cross-country behind a Commer Cob, and ya really did
something (like fry a
clutch!)!

I had read that the _official_ body count of 80-odd derived from the French
authorities only
counting the _French_ dead. It's dang tough when you get wasted at an event and
you don't even make
the statistics!
