I'm probably the only one who didn't know this, but you can substitute
clothespins for those special clips that keep oil from spraying all over
the place while adjusting the valves on your vintage small block.  I
spotted this tip in the current issue of Skinned Knuckles, one of the
car restoration mags I get.
