If you can believe it, a computer jockey like Joe can't get a message to
the
Tiger list, so I'm sending it for him. BTW, I helped him lift the
Alpine
body this weekend. I can attest, four guys can pick up a stripped Alpine
body, but it ain't easy.

Rob,
I've tried sending this to the Tiger list twice now, and it never
shows up. Do me a favor and pass it along.
Thanks,
Joe

Over the weekend I brought home an Alpine parts car. While pouring
through the parts last night I came across a pleasant surprise; an
original wood steering wheel. This one is in pretty good shape. The
original finish is still on it, although it is cracked all over, just
like my Tiger's dash. The wheel in my Tiger has been restored at some
point in it's life with a much thinner finish, and the color is much
lighter than the one from the Alpine. Anyone have any insights as to
types of wood used, color variances, etc? Also, I'd be interested in
refinishing techniques and materials. Thanks.
