I tried a TSD last summer up in Vermont. I had calibrated my speedo by swapping
the gear in the tranny, but that left the odometer about 15% off. Some of the
instructions were given based on elapsed mileage, so we just had to do a litle
math, right? Nope. I found that the trip odometer was SOMETIMES skipping the
first mile after a reset. 0.8, 0.9, 0.0, 0.1...., etc. Great fun. That, plus
the slow Jaguar with no mirrors led to a rather low finishing position. It was
a beautiful tour, though. 70's, mostly cloudy so you didn't broil, and great
scenery.

BTW, anybody out there rally in their Tiger (or Cobra)? I did two
in the Nissan this spring, nice 'n comfy; beyond the rain both times,
did not figure I could get consistant enough readings off either the
speedo or odo to correct even after the odo leg to use the Garage
Queen.
