David, I looked into this for my MGB, my feet were very hot around the gas pedal, and in the engine. The local race car engine builders said don't do it. It keeps the heat in so well that it cooks the header itself. I here it gets so hot the headers become brittel and fragile, and decreases their life by like 10x. So its a good idea if you don't mind replacing you headers on an annual basis. dan |
