All;
-After bringing home our '66 TIGER, but before doing a thorough
walk-around to tighten EVERTHING UP, my hood release cable came
loose on a hood-pull. I "tinned" the cable with a big, 750-watt
soldering iron so the cable wont fray & the nut has something
more solid to seat against.I now check the nut for tightness
EVERY time the hood's up. I'll get around to Loctite one of these
days. Maybe I;ll safety-wire it too. I've also thought of running
a back-up, 6-8" cable with a finger pull through the same
firewall hole as a spare.
-Do all TIGER owners acquire a bad case of the "paranoids" or is
it well-deserved?

Joe,
Jeff is right on the money! This happened to Gary's car and we couldn't
get it loose even pressing on the hood. Gary's next door neighbor
came over who was bigger and heaver and had less reverence for the
Tiger. A couple of heafty shoves on the hood and it popped
right open.
