No-one around here had heard of a kingpin failure either...
Now stub axles are a different matter. Lots of stock ones have broken over
the years. My racecar has a Mk 1 Cortina upright/stub axle/rotor grafted
onto
the upright. That is the most common conversion here.
I bought the high strength stub-axles from mini-mania (press fit and welded
high strength allow) and put them on redcar. Has anyone else tried them?
WST, doi you break the high strength axles? If so, do you use a locked diff
or
a LSD?
